English 4 / Javi Silva

In university I took Enligsh III and English IV and I can say because of these subjects that I have learned more about english, but I really think I need more practice. I think blogs are a good way of practice, but not enought. I never, really, never use english this semester outside the english room, I don't know why, maybe because the carrer didn't need this, even I didn't use english to se movies because everyone have subtitle in spanish. And because in my experience I think the only way of learning english is if you live in a context where everyone talk in english and you be forced of talk and think in english all day, but if you only practice this language in the classroom and in the time of the english class you never going to really learn. Last semester, I have english III in the morning, at 8:30 and that was good, I can wake up early and come to class even I stay sleepy all the day, but, I hate, with all my heart, I hate English IV in the afternoon because tuesd...

I think the art department of University of Chile in general work bad, really bad. Even more the department of theater, where I study scenic design. In this career I have a principal subject call Workshop of scenic design and other subject like History of arts, History of scenic design, Techniques and Workshop of staging I think the subjects and the time that the career allow to the student put in practice the knowledge is really few, because we only put in practice the learning three times in Workshop of staging, and I think this is the more imporant because doing, working or putting in practice is the only and more effective way of urdenstand and learning. Also, the infrastructure of the department of theater is not the necessary, for example here we don't have a place where we can buy the food, the courtyard is really little, we don't have space to keep the scenography, we don't have a appropriate room or space of check how a spotligh works, also we don't have the ...
