I think the art department of University of Chile in general work bad, really bad. Even more the department of theater, where I study scenic design. In this career I have a principal subject call Workshop of scenic design and other subject like History of arts, History of scenic design, Techniques and Workshop of staging
I think the subjects and the time that the career allow to the student put in practice the knowledge is really few, because we only put in practice the learning three times in Workshop of staging, and I think this is the more imporant because doing, working or putting in practice is the only and more effective way of urdenstand and learning.
Also, the infrastructure of the department of theater is not the necessary, for example here we don't have a place where we can buy the food, the courtyard is really little, we don't have space to keep the scenography, we don't have a appropriate room or space of check how a spotligh works, also we don't have the appropiate instrumental of lighting, never have toilet paper or soap in the bathrooms, every here work like a bureaucracy way and I hate that, the computers are slow, the lighting room and the computer room don't have a person who carre about them so the computers don't have the suiteble programs or te spotlight doesn't stay in good condition, we don't have a place were we can print cheap of for free, here every black and white print cost $100 and the color print cost $200 also the library is only open in the time that the student are in class so we don't have time to go to the library.
In summary I think this department have a lot of problems
